The PlayStation 5 turned two years old in November and, thankfully, Sonys flagship gaming console is finally getting easier to find. While The Pathless looks great, in some sections I felt like I was going through the motions and on occasion, like I was playing an extended tutorial. Deathloop is one of the best games on the PS5 so far. One thing to note, though, is that the actual world and the puzzles within them can feel overly simplistic. While it would be a cardinal sin to spoil bosses in a puzzle platformer, the confrontations are not only intense, but also a showcase for all of the lovely animations and movement mechanic love and care I talked about earlier. Assisted by an eagle companion, the young warrior uses her bow and brains to explore stunning, lush outdoor environments, solve puzzles, and best the lands possessed beasts.

The gameplay focuses less on precise shooting and more so on timing each shot carefully, considering how fast the player is moving. THE PATHLESS is a mythical open-world adventure that sees a brave, female archer tasked with ridding the world of a dark curse. The game is very fast-paced, with the player character moving very quickly throughout the area while shooting at red targets.
